2015 Ink Lotus by Dorje Chang Buddha III
2015 SOLD for $ 16.5M before fees by Gianguan Auctions

The Vidyas are the concepts that oppose ignorance to explain the universe. The five major Vidyas are logic, healing, communication, art and enlightenment. Yi Yungao also known as Wan Ko Yee is a master of the Vidyas. Doctor in Buddhism, philosophy, art, calligraphy and painting in 1999, he is also a fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts. He lives in California.

This highly respected personality is self declared as an incarnation of the most important Buddha and is named since 2008 His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. In 2011 he received the World Peace Prize, an interfaith prize that is often awarded to heads of state. A museum is dedicated to his art and to his cultural work in Covina CA.

His graphic art is varied and fits into the modern world while respecting traditional techniques. His favorite themes are plants, animals and landscapes. His use of inks in vibrant colors is in the following of the Chinese art of the twentieth century by Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian and Wu Guanzhong, for example.

The figuration of simple themes is an opening to the complexity and subtlety of nature. Lotus Ink expresses how beauty can come out of chaos. This artwork 35 x 69 cm was sold on the benefit of the artist's Buddhist communities for $ 16.5M before fees from a lower estimate of $ 10.5M by Gianguan Auctions on March 22, 2015, lot 109 illustrated in the post sale report shared by PR Newswire. This undated work was arguably executed specially for the auction.

On September 12, 2015, Gianguan Auctions sold for $ 10.2M before fees Loquat, ink and color 80 x 70 cm on paper hanging scroll painted in 2013, lot 79 here linked on the Invaluable bidding platform.

The image shows the fruits, leaves and branches of a loquat. The intention of the artist is to demonstrate that perfection can be reached in a light and airy composition. It is confirmed by a calligraphic text that subtly takes the shape of an additional branch of the plant.

His Holiness is a skilled artist whose hand does not shake. Loquat was realized without a preliminary drawing and without rework, with a nice contrast of ink density in twigs and leaves.

2015 Abstraktes Bild by Richter
2021 SOLD for HK$ 95M by Phillips in association with Poly

The very long way of Gerhard Richter is a gradual exploration of the limits between figurative and abstract. For more than two decades his abstract pictures have lost any nature-related form but the confrontation of the colors brings that reminiscence of nature which is eagerly sought by viewers. His abstract art is not hermetic.

Indeed his maturity in still increasing. He painted the Abstraktes Bild 940-7 at 83 in 2015. 2015 Patek Philippe 5016A-010
2015 SOLD for CHF 7.3M by Phillips for OnlyWatch

OnlyWatch is a charity auction of watches, which takes place every second year. The first event was in 2005 in Monaco under the patronage of the Prince, with Antiquorum at the hammer.

Swiss brands are invited to provide a unique specimen for the benefit of a charity supporting the research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The OnlyWatch event has become the high end showcase for contemporary Swiss watches and their technological improvements.

No premium applies.

The OnlyWatch principle, which is to have submitted by each manufacturer a unique model at auction, is necessarily pleasing Patek Philippe. For nearly a century, the models made as a single specimen were used as benchmarks for the technological developments and the design changes of the brand.

In 2007, the contribution of Patek Philippe to OnlyWatch was a unique 5712T Nautilus in titanium, sold for € 525K.

On September 23, 2011, in the sale operated by Antiquorum, Patek Philippe sold for € 1.4M a unique watch based on the model 3939. This smart tourbillon watch is fitted with a beautiful black enamel dial.

The fifth edition of the
OnlyWatch sale took place in Monaco on September 28, 2013. The hammer was entrusted to Antiquorum. For once, Patek Philippe offers a model of the past, the 5004, commercially stopped two years earlier when they started the 5204. 5004 is a grande complication watch including perpetual calendar, leap year and chronograph, and 30 meter water resistance.

The 5004 watch sold for OnlyWatch has been made in titanium in 2013, and is the only specimen made in this metal, reference 5004T. It is illustrated on the page shared by Watchonista. It was sold for € 2.95M.

Patek Philippe responds most often to the OnlyWatch rules of uniqueness with a high-end model in a refractory metal unusual in its similar productions : titanium in 2007 and 2013, steel in 2011, 2015 and 2024.

The Patek Philippe 5016A-010 was sold by Phillips on November 7, 2015 for CHF 7.3M.

2015 Free Games for May by Brown
2023 SOLD for $ 6.7M by Sotheby's

Games For May is the title of a concert of the Pink Floyd made in May 1967 in London. By modifying this phrase to Free Games for May, Cecily Brown adds the idea of bodies in the joyous liberty of the spring.

This oil on linen 170 x 165 cm was sold for $ 6.7M from a lower estimate of $ 3M by Sotheby's on May 17, 2023, lot 1.

Human forms and landscape mingle together while keeping their colors, overall constructing a total abstraction in the follow of the Untitled of the later 1970s by de Kooning. The figures are only remaining as ghostly traces. The brush strokes bring energy and movement to her abstraction.

2015 Ferrari LaFerrari coupe
2026 SOLD for $ 6.7M by Mecum

The planet turns green. The FIA cannot ignore this trend and announces for 2009 the authorization of the KERS in Formula 1. McLaren and Ferrari are getting some early success.

The KERS is a system transforming the braking energy into kinetic energy, avoiding a creation of overheating. The engines are designated as hybrids due to the addition of this electrical device to the conventional internal combustion engine, for the first time in the history of competition.

A total synergy still applies at Ferrari between the technologies from Formula One and those of the sports models. The experience of the F60 leads the brand to design the LaFerrari, a berlinetta which is irreversibly changing the high-end car market.

The performances in speed and acceleration of the LaFerrari are comparable to those of the Enzo. With a quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds, it overcomes the Porsche 918 and the Bugatti Veyron. All automakers will necessarily one day adopt the hybrid technologies. The race to the performance is started and no one can really predict how far it will go.

Unveiled in 2013 at the Auto Show in Geneva, the LaFerrari brings
Ferrari's return to the top level of road legal berlinettas, a position that had been shaken in the previous years by the successive variants of the Bugatti Veyron.

The LaFerrari has a top speed of 350 Km/h comparable to the Ferrari Enzo and is less rare. 400 Enzo were produced from 2002 to 2004 and 499 LaFerrari from 2013 to 2015. It is indeed the pioneer of the hybrid propulsion for high-end vehicles beside the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Its carefully chosen name indicates to the fans that LaFerrari is a culmination of the brand. It is however only a step. New bodies are being studied. The LaFerrari Aperta with a retractable roof will be officially unveiled this fall at the Paris Auto Show. The FXX-K variant for the track is existing since 2015.

The LaFerrari shared with most of its competitors its marketing strategy as a limited edition sold in advance of the realization, stirring in the secondary market the lust of the candidates who had arrived too late. The availability of such vehicles becomes a highly anticipated event and prices are now far exceeding the original commercial value.

The race to auction is also launched. The production of the LaFerrari was strictly limited to 499 cars, built from 2013 to January 2016. The frustration of the rejected candidates whose number is around 200 and of the latecomers is already blowing up the prices.

A LaFerrari made in 2014 was sold for $ 3.7M by Bonhams on August 19, 2016,
lot 95.  It was still under factory warranty. It was the first time a LaFerrari was offered at public auction. It was followed the next day by the example below.

On August 20, 2016 Mecum sold for $ 4.7M before fees a LaFerrari made in 2014, lot S110. Entirely black including its interior, it is one of only three LaFerrari painted in a very intense Nero Opaco. Its first owner named it Cavallo Infernale in a metal label at the base of the steering wheel. It is almost new : 340 Km on the odometer.

A
LaFerrari unique in its spectacular blu elettrico finish over crema leather was sold for $ 4.1M by RM Sotheby's on January 26, 2023, lot 141. It is now 5,100 km from new. It had been delivered new in 2014 to an outstanding Ferrari collector who brought to auction a 250 GTO for $ 48M at RM Sotheby's in 2018.
Ferrari LaFerrari : Compare two cars : chassis 207195 (2014, sold by Mecum for $ 4.7M hammer on August 20, 2016, lot S110, and chassis 212722 (2015, sold for $ 6.7M by Mecum on January 17, 2026, lot S156.

The two Ferrari LaFerrari chassis specified are both coupe versions (not the Aperta convertible variant) of Ferrari's iconic hybrid hypercar, limited to just 499 units total worldwide.

Key Specifications (Common to Both)
  • Model Year Range: 2013–2018 production (these are 2014 and 2015 builds).
  • Powertrain: 6.3L naturally aspirated V12 + electric motor hybrid system (HY-KERS), total output 949 hp (708 kW) and 664 lb-ft torque.
  • Performance: 0-60 mph ~2.5 seconds, top speed >217 mph (limited), carbon-ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics.
  • Chassis/Body: Carbon fiber monocoque, very low mileage examples command premiums due to rarity and collector status.
  • Market Context: LaFerrari coupes have generally traded in the $3M–$7M+ range at auction depending on specification, mileage, history, and condition. Prices have trended upward over time for well-optioned, low-mileage examples, especially late-production or unique-spec cars.
Chassis 207195 (2014 Model)
  • Auction Details: Sold at Mecum Auctions Monterey (lot S110) on August 20, 2016.
  • Sale Price: Hammer price $4.7M (often reported as $5,170,000 including buyer's premium in some sources, but aligns with your ~$4.7M hammer figure).
  • Notable Features: One of only 3 LaFerrari coupes factory-finished in Nero DS Opaco (matte black). This rare matte paint was a highly desirable and exclusive option, contributing to strong bidder interest even in 2016 (when the model was still relatively new).
  • Mileage at Sale: Extremely low (reported as 211 original miles in period listings).
  • Context: Early resale in the model's lifecycle; reflected strong but not peak collector pricing at the time.
Chassis 212722 (2015 Model)
  • Auction Details: Sold at Mecum Auctions Kissimmee (lot S156) on January 17, 2026.
  • Sale Price: $6.7M (some sources note ~$6.71M or similar final figures including fees; aligns with your $6.7M hammer/achieved price).
  • Notable Features: This was the last North American specification LaFerrari coupe produced (a significant historical milestone for U.S.-market collectors). Special-ordered new by the Bachman Collection with a personalized Rossi (red) and Gialli (yellow) interior treatment — a bold, customized color combo that added uniqueness and appeal.
  • Mileage at Sale: Just 157 miles from new (essentially delivery miles only, museum/collection-kept condition).
  • Context: Part of the high-profile Bachman Collection dispersal at Mecum Kissimmee 2026, which featured multiple high-end Ferraris and set records in several categories. Late-production status + ultra-low mileage + bespoke interior + fresh-to-market provenance drove the higher result.
Direct Comparison
  • Year/Build: 207195 is a 2014 (earlier production), while 212722 is a 2015 (later, final NA-spec example).
  • Mileage (at respective sales): Both ultra-low (211 vs. 157 miles), negligible difference — both in near-new condition.
  • Special Aspects:
    • 207195: Extremely rare factory matte black (Nero DS Opaco, 1 of 3), which was a standout visual and rarity factor in 2016.
    • 212722: Historical significance as the last U.S.-spec coupe, plus highly personalized vibrant interior (Rossi/Gialli), appealing to collectors seeking "last of" examples and custom specs.
  • Auction Results:
    • 207195: ~$4.7M hammer in 2016 (strong for the era).
    • 212722: $6.7M in 2026 (42% higher nominal price).
  • Price Difference Explanation: The ~$2M gap reflects ~10 years of hypercar market appreciation (especially for LaFerrari as it transitions to blue-chip status), inflation, stronger provenance/history (last one + collection context), and the ultra-low-mileage/custom appeal in 2026 vs. a still-"new" car resale in 2016. Both are exceptional results for coupes; note that some Aperta convertibles have exceeded $7M–$10M in recent years, but coupes rarely reach those levels unless uniquely positioned.
Both represent top-tier LaFerrari examples with proven auction success and collector-grade attributes. If you're evaluating for value, rarity, or investment, 212722's "last one" status and recent high-dollar result give it stronger modern bragging rights, while 207195's rare matte finish remains a standout for visual impact.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach
2026 SOLD for $ 6M by Mecum

A 2015 Porsche Spyder Weissach with 845 miles from new was sold for $ 6M by Mecum of January 16, 2026, lot F198.1. It is the only 918 Spyder produced in the Paint-to-Sample Pure Orange option.

Specific Features of the Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package
The Porsche 918 Spyder is a limited-production hybrid hypercar (918 units total worldwide) produced from 2013 to 2015, with the optional Weissach Package enhancing its performance through weight savings and aerodynamic improvements. This package, named after Porsche's Weissach Development Center, was a factory option costing approximately $84,000 in the US and was equipped on about 25% of all 918 Spyders. It reduces the vehicle's curb weight by roughly 90 pounds (41 kg) compared to the standard model, bringing it down to around 3,602–3,615 pounds (1,634–1,640 kg) dry, depending on configuration. This contributes to improved acceleration, handling, and track performance, shaving about 0.1 seconds off the 0-60 mph time.Key features specific to the Weissach Package include:
  • Lightweight Materials: Magnesium wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) manufactured by BBS, which reduce unsprung weight for better responsiveness; carbon-fiber reinforcements for the windscreen frame, roof, rear wings, rear-view mirrors, and extended rear diffuser; titanium chassis bolts and ceramic wheel bearings for further weight reduction.
  • Aerodynamics: Extended carbon-fiber rear diffuser and active aerodynamic elements, including an adjustable rear spoiler, to optimize downforce and stability at high speeds.
  • Interior Upgrades: Alcantara upholstery replacing leather on various surfaces for a lighter, more race-oriented feel; optional six-point harnesses for enhanced driver security during aggressive driving.
  • Performance Enhancements: Combined with the base 918's powertrain—a 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine (608 hp) paired with two electric motors (129 hp front, 156 hp rear)—the Weissach Package enables a total system output of 887 horsepower and 944 lb-ft of torque. This setup delivers all-wheel drive via a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, 0-100 mph in 4.9 seconds, and a top speed electronically limited to 214 mph. The hybrid system allows for up to 19 miles of electric-only range, with modes including E-Power (all-electric), Hybrid, Sport Hybrid, Race Hybrid, and Hot Lap for maximum performance.
  • Braking and Chassis: Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with larger discs; adaptive suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management); optional front-axle lift system for better ground clearance over obstacles (rare on Weissach models due to weight focus).
  • Other Notable Elements: Burmester high-end surround sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD navigation with live traffic, Bluetooth connectivity, and a multifunction Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. Exterior color options often included exclusive film coatings reminiscent of classic Porsche racing liveries.
The specific example mentioned (2015 model in Pure Orange paint) is noted as the only one produced in that color, emphasizing its rarity within the already exclusive Weissach lineup.
Previous High Auction Prices for the Porsche 918 Spyder WeissachAll Porsche 918 Spyders were produced between late 2013 and mid-2015, with the vast majority carrying a 2015 model year designation (as production ramped up in 2014). Auction prices for Weissach-equipped examples have risen steadily due to their rarity (fewer than 230 Weissach packages produced) and collector demand, often exceeding the original MSRP of $929,000. Below is a summary of notable high sales prior to the recent Mecum Kissimmee 2026 record of $6.05 million, focusing on verified hammer prices including buyer's premium. These represent the top end of the market, typically for low-mileage, well-optioned cars.

2015 Untitled (Ravens) by Stingel
2018 SOLD for $ 5.9M by Phillips

In his hyperrealistic recuperation of images from the past, Rudolf Stingel selected in 2015 the twelve pages of a vintage calendar on the theme of wildlife, in the follow of the Romantic pantheism.

The pair of ravens frolicing or quarreling in fresh snow is indeed the most spectacular, in its action and its black and white contrast.

This strictly square oil on canvas 244 x 244 cm was sold for $ 5.9M from a lower estimate of $ 5M by Phillips on May 17, 2018, lot 23. In the signature style of the artist, the painting displays the original condition of the photographic image.

2015 Koenigsegg One:1
2019 SOLD for CHF 4.6M by Bonhams

The Swedish brand Koenigsegg, founded in 1994, is steadily pursuing and overcoming three records for which its only competitors are Bugatti and Hennessey : road speed, time 0-300-0 and engine power.

In 2014 a variant of the Koenigsegg Agera R is equipped with an engine of unprecedented power : 1360 hp, corresponding to 1 Megawatt. It weighs 1360 Kg and this conjunction of numbers provides the name for the model : One:1. This power has been exceeded on later models, the Regera and the Jesko.

0-300-0 is the time taken by the vehicle to reach 300 Km/h on the road and come back to a standstill. It assesses the progress of the technologies developed by Koenigsegg : 29.2 seconds in 2008 by a CCX, 21.19 seconds by an Agera R in 2011, 17.95 seconds in 2015 by a One:1.

The speed homologation in the Guinness Book of Records considers a two-way average for a production car that has been built to more than 30 units. It is held since 2017 by a Koenigsegg Agera RS at 447 Km/h.

This record will not last long. A Bugatti pre-prototype based on a long-tailed Chiron reached a top speed of 490.484 Km/h, achieving its goal of exceeding 300 mph. The feat, recorded by the TUV certification office, was revealed on 2 September 2019. Koenigsegg congratulated Bugatti and announced that a Jesko 300 was in preparation. The next threshold will be 500 Km/h.

The One:1 was built in 1 prototype and 6 commercial cars. One of them made in 2015 was sold for CHF 4.6M by Bonhams on September 29, 2019, lot 24. For this car in as new condition with less than 600 Km, the announced estimate had been CHF 1.8M to 2.3M. In a blog post released on June 28, Koenigsegg considered that such a value is below the market price.
